Penglaz is the town 'Obby 'Oss of Penzance, Cornwall UK. Appearing at Midsummer (Golowan) and at Midwinter (Montol) she represents the seasonal death & rebirth energies. Led by the 'Teazer' known locally as The Bucca -- a Cornish Pagan deity of light and dark aspect who presides over these seasonal energies being at Midsummer Bucca Gwidder (the white god) and at Midwinter Bucca Dhu (the black god). A tradition surrounded in secrecy and jealously guarded by the Penzance folk.
